The Journal of Women Studies is a thematic, open-access and peer-reviewed academic journal published twice a year on women studies and research. In the journal which is printed and digitally published, the language of the articles and texts is Turkish and English. The journal promotes inventive, multidisciplinary, interregional, and international approaches to Women Studies. The journal gladly encourages scientists and scholars from all over the world to publish their work, and receive their support in the peer-review processes.

The Journal of Women Studies seeks to question conventional and fixed-mindset approaches to women issues, to shift the focus of women issues away from a specific group of academic circles, and to engage a wider academic and general readership through an interdisciplinary approach. Its primary goal is to offer critical analysis and develop new concepts, particularly by incorporating alternative perspectives and conceptualizations that have been introduced by the international academic community, in order to challenge the dominant discourse and analysis in the study of women in our country.

KADEM welcomes original theory-oriented and empirical articles from various fields such as law, political science, economics, culture, art, anthropology, sociology, psychology, theology, religious sciences, communication, education (also qualified from outside these fields) and empirical articles that use articles and data as a tool to advance or reflect the theory.
