The meeting was organized to facilitate the exchange of ideas among editors, to discuss current issues in women&#8217;s studies publishing, and to foster connections between women&#8217;s studies journals published in T\u00fcrkiye.<\/p>\n<p>The meeting, held at KADEM&#8217;s Headquarters, took place in two sessions. In the first session, editors gave presentations introducing their respective journals. These presentations highlighted both the short-term and long-term challenges faced by the journals. Some of the topics discussed included the quality of peer reviews, indexing in <em>TRD\u0130Z\u0130N<\/em> and international indexes, and the differing formal requirements of various indexing systems.<\/p>\n<p>In the second session, Prof. Dr. P\u0131nar Melis Yelsal\u0131 Parmaks\u0131z gave a presentation titled \u201cMethod and Methodology in Women&#8217;s Studies in T\u00fcrkiye.\u201d She discussed her research, which focused on the methodological challenges encountered in theses produced in the field of Gender and Women\u2019s Studies in T\u00fcrkiye, particularly from the perspective of feminist methodology and critique. The methodological issues in master\u2019s and doctoral theses in T\u00fcrkiye, the occasional limitations of feminist theory and frameworks, as well as the sensitivities and shortcomings in presenting and reporting results were debated.<\/p>\n<p>Assoc. Prof. Dr. Haydar Yal\u00e7\u0131n gave a detailed presentation on the indexing status of journals and the position of women\u2019s studies journals worldwide. In his presentation, Yal\u00e7\u0131n referred to the findings of the study titled \u201cHalf a Century of Women\u2019s Studies\u201d, which he co-authored with Asst. Prof. Dr. Nursem Keskin Aksay, sharing current data in women\u2019s studies.
